HIMSS SoCal Programs was off to a swinging success, as we teed off together in beautiful Newport Beach, California, this past October at our Annual Golf Charity Event in support of Make-A-Wish, Orange County and the Inland Empire. 

Leading the way with our Annual Golf Charity Event, we linked up at the beautiful Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach. Joining us that day were some of our own most renowned healthcare executives, along with many of our own superb Chapter golfers. We all basked in the sunshine and while gasping at our beautiful shorelines, enjoyed a splendid day of golf all the while impacting and supporting our own community of Healthcare. We raised a substantial amount of donations to be given this year to our Charity of Choice, Make-A-Wish, Orange County and the Inland Empire. The good will of so many of own Chapter members was outstanding - the outpouring of support and love from our strong local membership was very heartfelt. HIMSS SoCal is grateful to support Make-A-Wish and wish them a wonderful New Year alongside their support in the lives of the families that are touched through generous donations. 

HIMSS SoCal Programs has proven to be one of the most robust Chapters for Professional Education and Development and our CIO/CHIEF Forum, proved this year to be no exception. Our premiere CIO Event was again held at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda and was an outstanding success! We had overwhelming membership participation and even with a cut-off on early registration, we were able to accommodate all walk-ins through our commitment to our own membership. A good reminder to all us: register early for this year’s 2015 events.

Our conferences always display excellent content, exceptional speakers, qualified advanced technology, innovation, and networking, as well as our commitment to educating our membership and student body. Incorporating from our own membership and diverse backgrounds, all our conferences allow us the ability to hear from some of our own’s best in addition to the talented leaders and Best Practices of other healthcare providers, management, and healthcare organizations. We consistently bring forth professionals from hospitals, clinic organizations, third-party payers, administrators, information technology vendors, nurses, consultants, and physicians, that bring their own experiences and successes, coupled with our own trend-setters of the next generation of healthcare.

It is our hope that we impact our membership with valuable information that is shared at all our conferences and will make a viable healthcare impact in your lives and careers.
