2015 Austin HIMSS Chapter Scholarships Awarded

The Austin HIMSS chapter is pleased to award five scholarships for education in Health Information Technology to Texas students. The award recipients are students currently enrolled in a range of programs that will culminate in the achievement of BA degrees, BBAs, MBAs, and professional HIT certification with career goals that range from Healthcare Administration to Chief Innovation Officer. We are proud to have them as members of our Austin HIMSS Chapter!

ABOUT THE AUSTIN HIMSS CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

This program is aimed at providing financial assistance to deserving students in the current academic year. For 2016, we are looking for candidates who are actively pursuing Undergraduate, Graduate, and Certificate Programs at accredited academic institutions and who see healthcare Information Technology playing a meaningful role in their current or future careers. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis, during the second quarter.

Requirements – Students must:

  • Be enrolled in an institute of higher education serving the Austin Chapter geographic area
  • Focus of study must be in the areas of healthcare science, technology or public policy
  • Be an active member in good standing of the Austin Chapter of HIMSS
