HIMSS Washington Scholarship Program
HIMSS WA Student Scholarship Program 2016 Award Period Coming Soon (April 4th through May 16th).
Starting April 4, 2016, students studying healthcare (e.g. science, technology, business, administration, public policy, or other related fields) from around Washington State will be able to apply for one of the four $3,000 HIMSS Washington Scholarships.
If you know a student who qualifies, please pass this email on!
Our chapter recognizes the importance of preparing the next generation of professionals. Through the scholarship program, we are able to support students as they pursue education for a career in Health IT. The introduction to the HIMSS WA organization also gives students opportunities to meet colleagues and prospective employers.
To apply for the scholarships, candidates complete a detailed application outlining their scholastic achievement, leadership skills, and industry-related training/experience. They also complete essays and supply academic references to support their candidacy. Each winner is required to be an HIMSS WA member and agree to actively participate in HIMSS WA activities.
Applications for the 2016 Scholarship Program will open April 4th with awards granted the early June. Information will be posted on the HIMSS Washington website shortly.
