The rapid growth in the availability of healthcare data through electronic health records, medical devices, telehealth and other health technology provides increased opportunity to utilize and transform the data to influence and improve decision making for patient care delivery. With the help of researchers & developers, artificial intelligence (AI) provides the ability to analyze and logically process large data sets to understand patterns, and machine learning. AI provides the ability to process and teach the data human logic beyond human capability and have been applied to healthcare to aid clinicians to improve the delivery of patient care using legacy data as evidence. The knowledge and the use of AI enables both the clinicians and healthcare administrators to bring an effective and efficient healthcare delivery model.  An example of a current use of AI is the application of evidence-based care for clinical or continuum of care planning that works to improve healthcare outcomes.  Join us to hear and discuss:

  • What and where are the other areas that AI are being used within Federal healthcare?
  • What does the road look like to get us into the future?
  • How will the large data sets and AI change the delivery of healthcare?
  • How does AI actually improve patient care and with clinician participation?
