Call for 2018 Speaking Proposals – Opens with Publication of Guidelines

September 5, 5:00pm, EDT - 5:00pm, EDT

Maryland HIMSS Call for 2018 Speaking Proposals Now Open - Due October 6th!

The Maryland Chapter of HIMSS is opening a Call for 2018 Speaking Proposals to solicit Maryland healthcare provider case studies to be considered for presentation during our February 2018 and April 2018 educational programs.  Given the unique healthcare landscape in the state, we are seeking HealthIT enabled Maryland health care transformation case studies from healthcare providers, payers, health information exchanges, government agencies, and academic institutions.  Case studies should be success stories which highlight a real-world health care transformation challenge for the Maryland healthcare organization, provide an overview of the solution including any HealthIT leveraged, review the organization’s outcome and measurable benefits of the solution, and share lessons learned as educational takeaways for our members in attendance. The required submission template including speaking proposal format and guidelines can be downloaded here. Please know our review and selection process will strictly adhere to the submission guidelines.

Proposal Submission Deadline:  Friday, October 6, 2017 by 5pm EST

Proposals must be submitted by emailing a completed template to MD.Programs@himsschapter.org no later than 5pm EST on Friday, October 6th.

We will review submissions via a HIMSS led peer review process and notify those selected for presentation by the end of November 2017. We expect to select one or more Maryland provider case study presentations to augment the February and April 2018 educational programs.

We thank you for your continued interest in Health IT and the Maryland Chapter of HIMSS. If you have any questions regarding the Maryland HIMSS Call for Speaking Proposals, please contact Kathryn A.
