Kelly Bookman, MD

Dr. Kelly Bookman is specialty trained in Emergency Medicine and has focused interests in operations, quality, patient safety and clinical informatics.  As such, she serves as the Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Operations for the Department of Emergency Medicine at University of Colorado School of Medicine, Medical Director for Emergency Department at University of Colorado Hospital, Senior Medical Director Implementation and Informatics for the UCHealth Emergency Service Line and CMO, UCHealth Broomfield Hospital.

Steve Hess

Steve has been working in the Healthcare IT field for over 26 years.  Steve was named the Chief Information Officer of University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) in 2012.  UCHealth is a Colorado-based healthcare system that includes ten hospitals and hundreds of clinics throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Western Nebraska.  Steve and his team have been focused on implementing consolidated and standardized IT systems across all of the UCHealth hospitals and clinics, creating a foundation for innovation and transformational care.  Steve was previously the CIO of University of Colorado Hospital from 2009 to 2012 where he oversaw the implementation of the Epic EMR and Lawson ERP solutions there.  Prior to that, Steve was the CIO at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware for 5 years.  In addition to the EMR and ERP background, Steve has extensive experience with Health Information Exchange, Interactive Patient Care Systems, Patient Portals, Advanced Analytics, and Virtual Health.

 

David Nuhfer, MD

Dr. David Nuhfer is Vice President of Community Health at Stride Community Health Center (formerly known as MCPN).  He joined STRIDE from Centura Health, where he started as a family medicine resident at St. Anthony Hospital in 1998.  After his residency, he was in private practice for 13 years during which time he served as the board chair for the Integrated Physician Network, where he helped build out and lead a group of 250 independent providers. In 2014, Dr. Nuhfer joined the Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG) as the Primary Care Medical Director in the Mountains and North Denver Operating Group. Some his responsibilities in that capacity included offering leadership to the Ambulatory Health Strategy Team, serving on the Quality Measures Committee, and assisting with the opening of new clinics in Neighborhood Health Centers.

During the nearly 20 years that Dr. Nuhfer has been in the Denver Metro market, he has built strong relationships across the care continuum. In this role he will provide physician leadership in building a health neighborhood approach to advance our mission through partnerships with hospitals, specialists, social service agencies, and other health providers to connect critical elements beyond our clinic walls with an individualized care plan.
