Join CHIMSS as we kick off National HIT Week with a networking social at one of Denver's top gathering spots, and get an update on the state's Health IT Roadmap.

Speaker:

Carrie Paykoc is Colorado’s Health IT Coordinator in the Governor’s Office of eHealth Innovation. This role coordinates health information exchange, health information technology, and data integration projects between the Governor’s Office, state agencies, and community organizations in alignment with Colorado’s Health IT Roadmap. Prior to this assignment, Carrie worked at The Breakaway Group, an Atos Company in a variety of project management, research, change management, and instructional design roles to help healthcare organizations implement and adopt electronic health records (EHRs). Carrie is passionate about leveraging technology to improve health outcomes, while reducing costs and improving efficiencies.  During her time with The Breakaway Group, she helped numerous healthcare organizations of varying size and complexity, significantly reduce time and costs associated with implementing and adopting electronic health records (EHR). Carrie has over 15 years of healthcare experience in both not-for-profit and private organizations. This includes working as the Executive Director at Global Health Connections, a 501 C-3 focused on global health education and outreach; and working clinically for Donor Alliance as a Tissue Recovery Coordinator for the Colorado and Wyoming area. She holds an MBA-Health Administration and Masters in Managing Organizations with an emphasis in sustainability from the University of Colorado at Denver.
