This event is the perfect preamble to the HIMSS 2020 conference where attendees will network with industry, program managers, students and health executives across sectors that will be attending HIMSS 2020 in March in Orlando, Florida.

Join this stimulating panel discussion with leaders from Veterans Affairs and Social Security Administration as they discuss anticipated advances in patient engagement, health information exchange, and data interoperability. The panel will be moderated by Dr. John Scott, a recently retired Army colonel who worked at the Defense Health Agency where he led data management and VA collaboration efforts. These Health IT leaders will share their perspectives on how patient centered health information exchange (HIE) will improve care coordination and lead to safer care, more effective treatment plans, and lowered costs, ultimately saving lives and improving health for veterans and SS beneficiaries. This panel will also address how advances in these areas will meet the mandates of the NDAA 2020.
