In recent years, the rising prevalence of burnout among clinicians has led to questions on how it affects access to care, patient safety, and care quality.   Physician burnout is a result of long-term stress created by constant chaos and emotional intensity from challenging patients, EMR requirements and time pressures.  Pair this with personal family responsibilities and efforts to manage a healthy work/life balance, it's no wonder physician burnout and access to care is a top concern of health care providers.
