Meet Our Speakers


Kay Burke, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC is the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer at UCSF Health, having oversight of all nursing informatics activities, capabilities, and initiatives across the health system. She has led informatics teams across Magnet-accredited Academic Medical Centers, focused on technology selection, design and implementation, strategy development in informatics & analytics, digital innovation, and complex projects and systems that support clinical efficiency and effectiveness.

Sara Murray, MD, MAS is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and serves as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for UCSF Health. She works with the clinical systems teams at UCSF to optimize the current electronic health record (EHR) infrastructure and design novel informatics solutions for the health system.

Kate Pavlovich, MPH is Director, Analytics & Clinical Effectiveness UCSF, with responsibility for developing the Department of Quality & Safety’s analytic strategy and overseeing the team that provides data-driven insights to Improve Clinical Outcomes. She has over 10-years’ experience developing, facilitating and managing multi-year hospital-wide initiatives at some of the country's largest not-for-profit Academic Medical Centers and health systems.

Sana Sweis, MS is Director, Analytics Strategy at UCSF. She has been with UCSF since July 2018 leading the effort to develop and implement an enterprise analytics strategy. She brings extensive experience from several top ten academic healthcare institutions, leading teams overseeing reporting, analytics, administration, integration, strategy, data modeling and architecture.

Sandy Stall, MSN, RN-BC is Assistant Director Enterprise Analytics at UCSF. She has worked at UCSF over 15 years in a variety of roles in healthcare IT informatics and analytics. In her current role she is leading the data, information and analytics frontier with a team that creates processes and analytic tools to engage and help the enterprise strategize, drive change and improve outcomes.

Maria Weesner, MSN, RN is Reporting Integration Manager at UCSF. She has been with UCSF since June 2019, working in a variety of roles that support process improvement and management of different analytics teams at UCSF. She has a wealth of healthcare systems management and analytics experience, advising and/or overseeing projects for over 40 different healthcare systems nationally.
