In this session Houston Methodist will share their experiences incorporating their patient portal and innovative technologies into their broader patient engagement strategy. Participants will learn how Houston Methodist developed their approach while maintaining a particular focus on the patient experience and usability.

Josh Sol, IT Director, Ambulatory Clinical Systems and Innovation, Houston Methodist

Josh has over 10 years of progressive HealthCare IT experience and has been with Houston Methodist for the last 8. He is currently the IT Director for Ambulatory Clinical Systems and Innovation. The technology strategies Josh oversees includes Ambulatory EMR support and usability, Patient Engagement and Population Health initiatives, Telemedicine and Virtual care, Interoperability, as well as physician mobility tools.

 

Brad Shaink, Director of Engagement Technologies and Innovation, Houston Methodist

Brad Shaink has been with Houston Methodist since June 2011. His current position is Director of Engagement Technologies and Innovation in the Information Technology Division. Brad serves a broad role focused on consumer and patient technologies that advance Houston Methodist's vision of Leading Medicine. Brad's successes include deployment of Epic to its main academic medical center and p hysician practices, implementing robotic process automation, and innovating on mobile development strategies to expand access to care. Brad plays an instrumental role with in the Houston Methodist Center for Innovation, is an engineer by education, innovator by passion and entrepreneur at heart.
