Jitin is the first Executive Director of CommonWell Health Alliance, which is dedicated to the vision that health data should always follow the patient, regardless of where care occurs. Prior to CommonWell, Jitin worked for athenahealth, where he helped to build and expand their cloud-based interoperability platform, and co-launched both CommonWell and the Argonaut Project.

 

Previously, Jitin was an appointee at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), where he primarily focused on incubating and launching the S&I Framework. In addition, he co-led The Direct Project, served on the Technical Advisory Committee of the Nationwide Health Information Exchange, and provided technical expertise to the State HIE Program.

 

Jitin has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from MIT and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

 

 

Jeffrey Loughlin

Principle Consultant

Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC)

 

Jeff Loughlin is a Principal Consultant with the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC) and currently serves as the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Health Information Organization (NHHIO), working with providers, practice leaders, medical and administrative staffs to ensure successful adoption of Health Information Technology (HIT) and the implementation of the statewide health information exchange (HIE). Jeff has worked with the Collaborative for over 12 years, providing a variety of consulting services to practice, and community based electronic health record (EHR) and HIE initiatives. Prior to joining MAeHC, Jeff served as an information technology (IT) consultant at Boston Medical Center providing EHR implementation and training services for the outpatient medical departments. Before moving to the IT team, Jeff spent several years as a Practice Manager in a variety of outpatient settings at Boston Medical Center, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, and Boston City Hospital. Jeff is a US Army veteran with 30 years of military service and is currently serving as the Commander, Massachusetts Army National Guard Medical Command as a Medical Service Corps Colonel. Jeff holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Simmons College in Boston, and a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
