Lisa M. Letourneau MD, MPH, FACP

Dr. Lisa Letourneau is an experienced physician leader and passionate advocate for health care system delivery change, with particular interests in advancing primary care, behavioral health integration, and patient engagement efforts. She currently leads several improvement efforts, including serving as Associate Medical Director for Maine Quality Counts, and Clinical Advisor for the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) and the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation’s “Choosing Wisely” initiative. Dr. Letourneau is a graduate of Brown University and the Dartmouth-Brown Program in Medicine and is a board-certified internist who practiced emergency medicine for seven years before beginning her work in clinical quality improvement. She holds a master’s Degree from the Harvard School of Public Health and has a particular interest in helping to build connections between public health and clinical care, and the role of physicians and clinicians in helping to develop and lead health improvement efforts.

Kayla grew up in Maine and attended the University of Maine, Orono for her undergraduate studies. Shortly after graduating, Kayla began her career working for the Maine Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) serving as the Vendor and Data Services Manager. She spent several years working with the grocery stores in Maine that accept WIC as well as the USDA to ensure adherence to federal regulations as well as identifying future technology needs of the program. In 2013, she transitioned into the field of Information Technology and served as a Certified Scrum Master on agile software development teams. After several years of leading Agile teams, Kayla achieved her Scrum Professional Certification from the Scrum Alliance. Kayla began working for Maine Quality Counts in January of 2017 and serves as the Project Manager for Child Health and Caring for ME Projects at Maine Quality Counts.

Shaun Alfreds is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of HealthInfoNet. There Shaun works with the HealthInfoNet community-based Board of Directors and a seasoned team of technical, clinical and programmatic experts to assure that interoperability services continually meet the needs of the health care community across Maine and beyond. HealthInfoNet serves as a resource for healthcare organizations, assisting them in coordinating care, reducing errors, assessing patient risk and promoting the highest quality care by making real-time patient information available where and when it is needed. In addition, HealthInfoNet develops and manages software and interoperability services for state government with particular focus on Medicaid and Public Health.

Dan O’Neil

Dan O’Neil is a Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Care Dimensions, the largest palliative care/hospice organization in Massachusetts. He has a broad background in healthcare technology and settings; as a VP/CIO for a community hospital, as VP Information Services for two large healthcare systems, and as a CIO for a home health care company. Most recently Dan served as the Vice President Information Services for Steward Health Care for the past seven years, leading their ambulatory and population health technology services division. Steward Healthcare is an early adopter of ACO models and technology enabled solutions. He is a board member on the New England Healthcare Exchange Network and was an advisory member of the Massachusetts eHealth Institute's EMR program.

Amy Flaster, MD
Senior Vice President of Population Health Management and Care Management Health Catalyst

 

Amy is the Senior Vice President of Population Health Management and Care Management at Health Catalyst, where she focuses on using data analytics to enable clients’ transitions to value-based-care. She is also the Associate Medical Director of Population Health Management at Partners Healthcare in Boston, where she oversees the high-risk care management program, supports population health management of the self-insured employee group, and collaborates on Medicaid ACO strategy and programs. She practices as a primary care physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. Prior to these roles, she has worked in hospital administration and co-founded a digital health startup in the end-of-life space. Amy completed a medical degree from Harvard Medical School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and trained in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Jeffrey L. Brown is a technology professional with a background in health care information technology, operations, and business executive leadership. He joined Martin’s Point in early 2017 with more than 15+ years of progressive experience in a variety of industries, including academic medical and research centers, a highly rated consulting firm, not-for-profit organizations, and electronic health records vendors. Mr. Brown is a seasoned strategist, most recently holding CIO positions at Seattle Children’s Hospital (WA) and Lawrence General Hospital (MA). Over the years, he has shared his wealth of experience with students in health informatics, health care analytics, and health management by teaching and developing leading educational programs at Brandeis University, Northeastern University, the College of William and Mary, and the University of Washington. Jeff received his MS in Health Care Informatics along with his Executive Master in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan.

Renee Broadbent

Renee Broadbent is the Senior Vice President for Population Health at Holon Solutions. She is a senior level executive with an extensive background in Information Technology and Information Security. She has held the role of Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer in both hospital health systems as well as Managed Care Organizations (MCO). Most recently, Ms. Broadbent served as AVP of Population Health Information Technology and Strategy at UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, Massachusetts and was part of the leadership team that achieved $22 million in savings for the Accountable Care Organization. Additionally, she led the data and analytics team to help UMass Memorial Health Care achieve HIMSS Stage 7 Analytics for both inpatient and outpatient, one of 2% of health systems in the country to achieve this honor.

My career path was unplanned, where a comedy of experiences has lead me to a career in business intelligence by combining my work across art, science, statistics, programing and management. My educational background is in Fine and Performing Arts, Biology, Clinical Trial Design & Project Management, and Epidemiology & Biostatistics where I earned my Masters in Public Health. My professional work has largely been focused within healthcare and a significant portion of it within radiology information systems, research, software design, clinical quality and visual analytics.

Aaron harbors a healthy skepticism of everything, often dreaming up ways that well intentioned proposals could go horribly wrong. This trait serves him well as the Privacy Officer of Maine Medical Center. While studying at the University of Maine School of Law, Aaron had the opportunity to work on international privacy issues with Monster Worldwide, Inc., conduct research on domestic privacy issues with the Network Advertising Initiative, and serve as revision editor for a Canadian Privacy publication with the International Association of Privacy Professionals. After a few years in private practice, Aaron accepted a position with the Maine Medical Center where his healthy skepticism is understood and appreciated.

Through application of the team-based care concept, Population Health with its interdisciplinary team of nurses, medical assistants and social workers provide risk-based population management services; including care transition, care coordination, care management and preventive care outreach; to the patients of Maine Medical Partners. Elaine has helped grow the Population Health Department from its 3 employees with her arrival, to the current 30 employees based in Maine Medical Partners Primary Care and Specialty Care.
