PA HIMSS chapters will recognize legislative leaders at an awards ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cafe Fresco, 215 North 2nd Street, #1 Harrisburg, on Monday, April 30, 2018, in advance of PA HIT Day, an advocacy effort at the State Capitol in Harrisburg advancing health information technology in Pennsylvania.

This year the awardees include:

Executive Award – Dr. Rachel Levine – Acting Secretary and Physician General
Legislative Award – Senator Elder Vogel, Sponsor of PA Senate Bill 780, the Telemedicine Act
Leadership Award – Robert Torres, Acting Secretary of State
Lifetime Achievement Award – Martin Ciccocioppo, Director, Office of eHealth Partnership
Staffer Award – Cheryl Schriner – Chief of Staff, Senator Elder Vogel

Representatives from DVHIMSS, Western PA HIMSS and Central PA HIMSS will visit legislative leaders and staff members to discuss challenges.
