This talk will detail some of the organization’s fascinating history, and then delve into healthcare of the future. The next decade will see amazing changes as the fourth industrial revolution hits healthcare. AI, robotics, data analytics, 3d printing, virtual and augment reality all are making huge impacts on how we care for patients.

Speaker Bio

Mark Wehde is chair of the Mayo Clinic Division of Engineering, assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, fellow in the Mayo Clinic Academy of Educational Excellence, and associate lecturer for the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium program. Mark is the executive leader of a team of engineers, software developers, and project managers providing development and integration of technology solutions across Mayo Clinic. Mark received a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Iowa State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University, and a Master of Business Administration through the University of Wisconsin.
