Dr. Ingham serves as Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer for Allina Health, leading and

advancing Health Informatics for the organization. In addition to guiding deployment of applications that

impact clinical care, Dr. Ingham is responsible for understanding and monitoring the digital health tech

landscape to assist in steering Allina through the ever-changing healthcare environment. Firmly believing

that at the core of all patient care is a human to human interaction, Dr. Ingham is passionate about

leveraging the EHR and digital health tech to support and augment that human interaction. In this role

and previous roles, Dr. Ingham has led countless efforts to improve patient care while simultaneously

reducing the cost of care.

Dr. Ingham maintains a small primary care internal medicine practice with Abbott Northwestern General

Medicine Associates. He is active in the education of internal medicine residents at ANW and medical

students from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Ingham has research interest in hypertension and

preoperative care. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on these topics and others and is

part of multiple ongoing clinical studies.

Presentation Overview:

Will review the virtual care Allina Health’s virtual care journey that the

COVID crisis drove us from 50 virtual (video) visits per week to several thousand daily. Will also

review deployment of 700 tablets in COVID hospital rooms and ERs and the benefits derived

from this effort. Lastly will touch on the challenges and uncertainties that remain around virtual

care including regulatory and reimbursement risks.
