HIMSS Chapter of Arizona is excited to announce the second topic in our three-part educational webinar series: PACS Archiving. The webinar will occur on January 25th at 11:30am MST and will feature two speakers, Eric Rice and Brian Philips.

Webinar Abstract: Picture Archiving and Communications System technologies have been around for decades with roots within hospital and health systems. Today the technology is also used by specialists in cardiology, pathology, oncology, and dermatology. Interoperability with these images is an imperative that is met with challenges. In this Webinar, we address how vendor neutral archive (VNA) technologies are enabling interoperability and why service assurance for improved visibility and monitoring helps to ensure success in delivering superior patient experience.

Eric Rice, CTO for Mach7 Technologies

Eric Rice is the CTO at Mach7 Technologies. For nearly 2 decades Eric has evaluated and designed clinical informatics solutions for the healthcare industry. Eric’s industry leadership and focus on medical imaging workflow and interoperability solutions have helped Mach7 define a new era in innovative, next-generation Enterprise Image Management solutions. Eric’s expertise draws on a design philosophy of user needs analysis where customer inputs are directly solicited and iteratively refined to deliver on solutions. Eric has a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a degree in Management Science & Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

 

Brian Philips, Chief Solutions Architect for NETSCOUT Systems

With 32 years re-inventing himself and creating solutions in the IT industry as an end user, consultant, and systems engineer - 13 years with NetScout has gone by in a blink of the eye. As the Chief Solutions Architect at NETSCOUT, Brian works with NetScout's enterprise customers and prospects to understand business needs and success criteria for each initiative and relative IT projects with our unique capabilities.
