The New England Chapter of HIMSS (NEHIMSS) Dvora Brodie Grant-Backed Internship Stipend Program assists student members of the New England chapter who are gaining real world experience in healthcare information technology through an unpaid internship opportunity. Established and funded by the New England Chapter in 2005, this scholarship is in honor of Dvora Brodie, a dedicated HIMSS member and HIT professional who died of ovarian cancer in 2003.

Awarded recipients are provided a grant in the amount of $1,250 to help offset some of the costs which can commonly pose a barrier to participation in an unpaid internship opportunity. There are two grants available for 2019.
