Please join us for the Austin HIMSS Chapter's annual December CIO panel discussion on Tuesday, December 13th. Four luminaries in their field have agreed to participate in what should be a stimulating discussion and lively Q & A. We hope to see you there for this special event!
This Year's CIO Panel Consists Of:
John Mason, CIO, Hill Country Memorial
Oversees information technology infrastructure and initiatives including MACRA measures as they relate to technology, electronic medical records, network administration and computerized workflows. He began his career as a U.S. Army Captain and Communications Officer.
Mike Blom, CIO, St David’s HealthCare
He has been a member of the St. David’s HealthCare team for more than 20 years and has served as director of technical services for the healthcare system and director of information services at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Before joining St. David’s HealthCare, Mike was the operations manager of McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Mike Minks, CIO, Seton Healthcare Family
Previous to his current appointment, Mike had leadership positions as part of Perot Systems and Dell Services supporting Jewish Hospital and St. Mary's Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky, MacNeal Hospital and Louis A. Weiss hospitals in Vanguard Health's Chicago Market and HPA’s hospitals in Houston, TX.
Rick Peters, CIO, Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, Austin
Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Dr. Peters was General Manager, Clinical Technology at GE Healthcare, and has extensive experience in technology startups. His clinical practice was as an Emergency Physician with Southern California Kaiser-Permanente and he teaches evidence-based medicine at the University of California San Diego, Skaggs School of Pharmacy.
