Dear HIMSS Oklahoma Chapter Member,

The Oklahoma chapter has begun accepting nominations for prospective candidates to serve on the 2022-2023 Board of Directors for the following positions with role descriptions.

Professional Development Chair –

Term: Two years; or until such time as their successor is elected

Description: The Director of Professional Development and Education leads the effort to increase chapter member awareness of the benefits of achieving distinguished volunteer designations and becoming CAHIMS or CPHIMS certified. Increase awareness about Senior, Fellow, and Life member status and offer help to the qualified candidates through their Advancement application process. Provide leadership to the program committee to develop annual educational, professional development and networking opportunities for members and healthcare information professionals in the community.

Time Commitment: One (1) hours of Chapter meetings each month. Two (2) to four (4) hours of Chapter work each month. One (1) to two (2) on-site board meetings per year.

Student Volunteer-

Term: Not applicable. Non-Voting position

Description: Provide representation on the Oklahoma Chapter board to represent student membership assuming duties and needs of the chapter.

Time Commitment: One (1) hours of Chapter meetings each month. Two (2) to four (4) hours of Chapter work each month. One (1) to two (2) on-site board meetings per year.

Please review the responsibilities and requirements of each elected board position. All candidates must be an active member of HIMSS for at least one year to be eligible to serve. If you are interested in running for one of the open positions please submit:

• Photo to be included on the ballot

If you would like to be considered for one of the elected board positions of the Oklahoma chapter, please email Angela Flanagan at oklahoma.president@himsschapter.org by May 31, 2022. All applications will be reviewed by the HIMSS Oklahoma Chapter board who will select two candidates for each position; or all qualified candidates meeting the chapter role qualifications to be included on the official ballot.

All members of HIMSS in good standing are eligible to vote for the 2022-2023 Board of Directors. The election will be conducted electronically, voting is open from June 6th- 17th, 2022.
