DA/EX Pillar Virtual Visualization Contest Winners Announced

From January 9th to January 23rd, MD HIMSS Data Analytics & Exchange committee ran its first ever virtual data visualization contest called Data-‘Story’-thon! The challenge brought together MD HIMSS members from diverse healthcare backgrounds. We received high-quality submissions and appreciated the dedication and time spent on their storytelling documentation.

The judging panel considered storytelling skills, accuracy of data, creativity of the presentation, engagement and relevant organization of graphs, visuals, and information as the primary criterion for judging. With all the outstanding submissions, we were challenged in determining the winners; however the judges shared their industry expertise and defined the winners based on the criteria.

We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the 2023 Data-’Story’-thon:

First Place: Team- Data Whisperers: Colleen Ennett, Jewel Engerman, Je’Neen Wilson, Li He, Mansi Kukeja
