We are excited to share one other great update from our chapter advocacy team!

HIMSS Wisconsin Chapter is one of over 50 organizations to sign on to a Letter of Support for the full funding of the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) for FY2024 in the total amount of $103.6 million. ONC’s mission is to promote and improve HIT to enhance the health and well-being of every American. This $37 million funding increase will allow the ONC to continue their critical work to advance interoperability, modernize infrastructure, and empower patients and providers.

Here is a copy of the Letter of Support (Click here) delivered to Capital Hill on 5/12/2023, addressed to Chair Baldwin, Ranking Member Capito, Chair Aderholt, and Ranking Member DeLauro.

We are looking forward to hear more updates from ONC and their work to advance interoperability and associated empowerment.
