New Mexico-HIMSS Call for Nominations

The New Mexico HIMSS chapter has begun accepting nominations for candidates to serve on the 2016 NMHIMSS Board of Directors for the following positions:

  • President/President-Elect 
  • Secretary 
  • Treasurer
  • Member at Large
  • Committee Chairs:
    • Communications
    • Sponsorships
    • Advocacy
    • Membership

 

Candidate Requirement: Each candidate will be required to submit a Candidate Biography including all current contact information and a picture for the ballot.

 

Nomination Process: The current NMHIMSS Board of Directors will review all qualified candidates for each open position. The Board of Directors will select from these candidates and present to the membership a slate of nominated candidates for each open position on the Board.

Ballot: The election of the 2016 Board of Directors will be conducted electronically. All NMHIMSS members in good standing will be eligible to vote for the 2016 Board of Directors.

 

Election Schedule: The following are the important milestones in the 2016 candidacy and election process:

  • May 27th – June 3rd: Call for Board Candidates
  • June 8th – June 10th  Candidate review and selection
  • June 11th – June 15th: Election Site Configuration
  • June 16th – June 24th: Election
  • June 27th – Board of Directors Announcement
  • July 7th – 2016-2017 Board of Directors Induction meeting

 

If you or someone you know would like to be considered for one of the elected board positions of the NMHIMSS chapter, please email Curt Schatz at nm.president@himsschapter.org. You will receive a confirmation of your nomination from Curt within 48 hours.
