Abstract:

Recent learning science shows that as much as 80% of learning happens outside of the classroom and that 56% of learning happens on the job. Historically, the focus of training has been on the formal classroom training experience for onboarding. As the roles in our healthcare organizations are becoming more complex and the job knowledge needed to complete the EHR/EMR documentation and workflows increases constantly, a shift in focus to just-in-time learning and in the flow of work support is emerging. Our teams live in a constant state of change and providing the right learning, at the right time, in the right format, and where the work happening, is becoming a vital part of successful modern learning strategies.

Objectives: Identify 3 Reasons why classroom training alone is not enough

  • Discuss the benefits of a Just-in-time self-help learning solution
  • List the critical factors in choosing a solution
