We're less than 10 days away! We're continuing our speaker spotlight series today with a pair of well-respected speakers hitting the virtual stage in the early afternoon portion of our event, Wade Carroll (VP IT, Aspirus) and Kristen Schmidt (Healthcare Strategecy Executive, Nordic).

Wade began his career in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He worked in various clinical roles while doing coursework in IT. After leaving the military, Wade combined his healthcare knowledge with IT, as he pursued various roles within the healthcare industry in technical, application, project management, and leadership roles over the years. Initially he worked at Epic, starting in 2008 as a Project Director implementing Epic’s full suite of applications with Providence Health and Services in their pilot implementation in their Alaska region. He has also led IT departments at Saint Louis University Hospital, Stanford, and Aspirus. He is currently serving as Vice President of IT at Aspirus Health.

Kristen’s healthcare experience spans for more than 20 years. She has served in strategic leadership roles for many organizations, including MultiCare, John Muir, UCSD, Scripps, Northwestern Medicine, NorthShore and Aspirus.  Kristen’s specialties include Integration strategy and alignment for Mergers & Acquisitions, divestitures, affiliate partnerships.  She finds integration work to be fascinating and challenging.  After the Aspirus Northwoods project, she enjoyed downtime with her family and is now planning a move to Texas Hill Country and relocating to Blanco, TX.
