The Canadian Prairies HIMSS chapter welcomes nominations for prospective candidates to serve on the 2023-2024 Board of Directors for the following positions:

• Membership Advancement and Professional Development Director
• Outreach, Membership, and Sponsorship Chair
• Programs Chair
• Website Chair
• Members at Large

  • Manitoba
  • Saskatchewan

The Board of Directors manages the affairs of the HIMSS Prairies Chapter, including directing activities of the Chapter of interest and benefit to the membership. By serving as a board member, you will be part of shaping our chapter and contributing to the growth of Health Informatics in the Canadian Prairies. Participation as a volunteer on the chapter Board is also an eligible continuing education activity for HIMSS certification. Board members are elected for one year terms and can serve a maximum of two sequential terms in a single position.

All candidates must be an active HIMSS member in good standing for at least 1 year, and be a member of the Canadian Prairies Chapter. Most of all, you must be willing to be part of a fun group of hard working professionals who are passionate about what they do!

All applications will be reviewed by the chapter board, who will ensure that they meet eligibility criteria to be included on the official ballot. All members of HIMSS in good standing will be eligible to vote for the 2023-24 Board of Directors. The election will be conducted electronically during the bf June (more details to follow by email). Nominations are accepted until June 3, 2023.
