Dr. Susan Kressly facilitates a discussion on healthcare IT challenges unique to Pediatrics and how they are being addressed. Topics include barriers to health information exchange, confidential care for adolescents and EHR implementation challenges.

Speakers

Dr. Susan Kressly board certified Pediatrician and Clinical Informaticist has over 30 years of clinical experience in pediatric practice, almost 2 decades of business experience as the founding partner of innovative Kressly Pediatrics, and over 15 years in Pediatric Health IT championing the pediatric voice at the Health IT table.

 

 

 

Mark Lo, MD is a pediatric emergency physician, medical informatician, and medical director of Telehealth and Digital Health at Seattle Children's Hospital. Dr. Lo is involved in expanding telehealth capabilities at Seattle Children's, including live and asynchronous telemedicine and remote monitoring. He led the hospital in pivoting almost entirely to virtual care during the pandemic, receiving FCC telehealth funding, and transitioning to the post-Public Health Emergency landscape. He is also working to evaluate and lead implementation of new digital tools and technologies that help improve patient and clinician engagement, and integrate with existing hospital systems, electronic health record, clinical practice, and research. In addition to the emergent and urgent medical care of children, he is passionate about how technology can be used to influence and transform pediatric healthcare, especially for those with limited access & underserved populations.

 

Dr. Matt Fradkin is a Pediatrician and Provider Informaticist for Providence Health. He is currently spearheading efforts to redesign the pediatric care model for the system to align with value based and digital forward care. Prior to his work with Providence Health he was Pediatric and Clinical Lead for Medumo, an automated SMS based patient education and monitoring platform.

 

 

 

Dr. Sarah Stewart is a pediatrician and current Clinical Informatics Fellow at Seattle Children's Hospital and UW Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University. Previous digital health and consumer medical device consultant. Previous work in IoT glucose and oximetry sensors, strategy and operations at early stage telemedicine start up. Recent experience in EHR implementation and optimization. Passionate about leveraging technology to help improve kids’ health and development.
