Mac McMillan, FHIMSS, CISM

Mac McMillan is co-founder and CEO of CynergisTek, Inc., a top-ranked information security and privacy consulting firm. He is a member of CHIME’s AEHIS Advisory Board, Chair of the HIMSS Privacy & Security Policy Task Force and recognized as a HIMSS Fellow. McMillan brings nearly 40 years of combined intelligence, security countermeasures and consulting experience from positions within the government and private sector and has worked in the healthcare industry since his retirement from the federal government in 2000.
McMillan is a thought leader in compliance, security and privacy issues in healthcare, contributing to several industry trade publications, blogs and newsletters. He was recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review’s lists of influential healthcare IT leaders by both its writers and readers in 2015, and was named one of the top ten health information security influencers of 2013. He currently sits on several other advisory boards, including HIT Exchange HealthTech Industry, HCPro Editorial Advisory Board and HealthCare’s Most Wired™ Survey Advisory Board. McMillan has contributed to more than 300 articles and postings in Healthcare IT magazines, blogs and other industry publications. He also presents regularly at industry association events, such as CHIME, HCCA, HIMSS and AHIMA, and was a contributing author to the HIMSS book, “Information Security in Healthcare: Managing Risk.”
McMillan served as Director of Security for two separate Defense Agencies, and sat on numerous interagency intelligence and security countermeasures committees while serving in the U.S. government. He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Texas A&M University. He is a graduate of the of the Senior Officials in National Security program at the JF Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a 1993/4 Excellence in Government Fellow.

Robert Rost is an IT Operations Director in IT Security for Banner Health. As the IT Operations Director over Defensive Services, Robert is responsible for detecting, managing and responding to IT Security events and incidents. His team also manages Banner's vulnerability management and data protection programs. Robert’s team also provides internal investigation and litigation support. Robert Rost works with Banner's CISO and the IT Operations Director over Identity & Access Management to maintain, implement, monitor and communicate an overall IT Security Risk Management strategy. Rob has an interest in the development of new processes and technologies that improve the measuring and comparison of cyber risk and reducing the time window from incident discovery to remediation. Rob has a passion for educating everyone, especially the youth and their parents, about Internet safety.

David Schauble is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Dignity Health where he is responsible for the enterprise’s Cybersecurity program and strategies. David has been in Information Technology for over 31 years, with the last 14 as Vice President with oversight of Cybersecurity, Voice and Data Infrastructure, and Service Support at health care, financial, and retail organizations. In the role of CISO, he is focused on enhancing Dignity Health’s enterprise cybersecurity capabilities, implementing an enhanced Security Operations Center, expanding the Enterprise Cybersecurity Incident Response Program, establishing and driving Cybersecurity roadmap initiatives, and evolving the Enterprise Security Risk Management Program.

Maritza Santamaria-Hoffman received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arizona State University and her law degree from California Western School of Law. She has over 20 years experience in healthcare. She has advised and consulted on a wide range of healthcare related issues, including electronic discovery rules (eDiscovery), electronic medical record (EMR), records management, risk management, compliance, and other regulatory matters.
Maritza is currently the Director of Risk Management at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Arizona. In this role, she oversees litigation involving professional and general liability. She is also involved with the procurement of all lines of liability insurance and participates in the overall planning and oversight of Phoenix Children's captive insurance program.
