Delivering on the Promise of Machine Learning in Healthcare
Join us on May 12th for a virtual discussion with Kelly Myers, CEO of Atomo Health. Kelly, an expert in predictive modeling, will discuss proven ways to leverage machine learning, advanced analytics, and real-world data to identify individuals at greatest risk. A synopsis of Kelly's talk follows:
Most disease and utilization management programs focus on the 5% of the population who generate 50% of healthcare costs. If these patients can be identified, preemptive practices can be implemented that benefit the patient and lower costs. Failure to act quickly leads to poor outcomes. However, organizations face challenges in identifying which patient population define this 5%. Adding to this complexity, the patient population within that 5% cohort varies year-to-year.
To address these challenges, machine learning and advanced analytics can be leveraged to successfully identify the high-risk patients defining next year’s top 5%.
Proven methods and results from peer reviewed publications will be shared to demonstrate how these non-linear modeling technologies have been utilized in multiple health settings.
