The Virginia Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (VA HIMSS) provides statewide leadership for the advancement and management of healthcare information and technology. Our affiliation with national HIMSS allows us to participate in directing and shaping the healthcare industry, encouraging emerging technology and promoting public policies that will improve healthcare delivery.

At the local level we are committed to providing educational and networking opportunities for our members.

Our goals focus on supporting the mission, vision, and values of HIMSS. As a state-level organization we strive to carry out their mission at the local level and to serve as a conduit of information to and from the national organization.

The Virginia Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (VA HIMSS) is a volunteer organization whose primary goal is to develop educational and regional networking programs.

The Virginia Chapter of HIMSS (VA HIMSS) is focused on providing VALUE for members and our generous sponsors! We are an active chapter that puts our primary focus on education. This is accomplished in many ways, most notably via Regional Events and the Annual VA HIMSS Fall Conference.  These events typically highlight the senior leaders from Virginia’s top healthcare provider organizations. H.I.T. is always changing and VA HIMSS keeps this dynamic by scheduling relevant and informative discussions of critical issues and solutions the healthcare sector is currently facing.
