Liza Cameron, MHI is an experienced professional with over 28 years in the healthcare industry. Beginning her career early on in a hospital-based laboratory and transferring that knowledge and experience over to healthcare information technology, over 21 years ago. Liza holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Informatics from Northeastern University. Liza possesses a well-rounded area of expertise and is well versed in many revenue cycle management and clinical applications and processes, along with extensive experience in HL7 application integration. She is a proven project manager and leader for large scale enterprise wide initiatives. Liza is currently working as an Epic Implementation Manager for Partners Healthcare and is an active board member of New England HIMSS.

Dr. Joe Heyman, MD
Currently serves on the HIE Committee

Joe Heyman, MD, an OBGYN, a HIMSS 13-year member, served as finance chair and treasurer of both the American Medical Association (AMA) and Joint Commission International (JCI). During his 41 years in his private practice, Dr. Heyman was the first physician in the Merrimack Valley to use electronic billing, first to use an electronic health record, and first to e-prescribe. He also brought Wellport, a physician-owned functioning Health Information Exchange, to his community and ran it for five years and as a result won a large MEHI grant.

1. addition to his AMA and JCI finance experience, Dr. Heyman currently serves as Advisor to the Committee on Finance of the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS).
