Successful Applications of Machine Learning Technologies in Healthcare
Leveraging Machine Learning technology to find the 90 percent of undiagnosed individuals with the most common dominantly inherited disorder
Please join us for the Austin HIMSS Chapter September Lunch & Learn. The FIND FH® initiative applies novel informatics approaches, including machine learning, to create an algorithm to “flag” and identify potentially affected familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) individuals. FIND FH uses an electronic phenotype of FH and machine learning algorithms to identify and analyze approximately 100 features including diagnosis codes, procedure codes, prescription codes, lab results, and demographic variables in 144 million Americans to identify 1.3 million Probable FH individuals who either have or are at risk for serious cardiovascular disease.
