KSHIMSS cancels Chapter Conference planned for May 7 & 8

The Kansas Chapter of HIMSS board has carefully considered the options and a decision is never easy to make. However, as the result of multiple considerations, the 2020 KSHIMSS Chapter Conference scheduled for May 7 & 8 will be cancelled.

Kansas HIMSS joins a long list of institutions that are cancelling events to protect the health and safety of attendees and to support the wider public effort to slow the spread of the virus. Those that registered will be issued a full refund of their conference registration within a few business days. We encourage you address any room accommodations as soon as possible to prevent penalty for late cancellation.

Thank you to each member of the Board of Directors for all their hard work, especially our Events co-chairs Mia Kauffman and Shavonda Thrower, and President-Elect Tami Corn.

The board will begin working to plan the 2021 KSHIMSS Chapter Conference with details to be provided at a later date. Please contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,

Shawn Weldin
President, KSHIMSS
