The journey to achieving EMRAM 6 – from the perspective of an EPIC hospital in Ontario

On Thursday, May 24th the Ontario Chapter of HIMSS will be hosting a networking event and presentation at the new Globe and Mail centre in downtown Toronto.  This evening event will feature an engaging presentation from Sharon MacSween – Director, Clinical Informatics at Mackenzie Health on their EMRAM 6 journey with EPIC and will be followed by the opportunity for networking over drinks and appetizers.

 

Presentation Overview The HIMSS EMRAM maturity model is a globally recognized framework for measuring clinical and operation outcomes associated with organizational transformation in Acute Care.  MacKenzie Health recently embarked on their EMRAM journey to level 6 which included a current state benchmark and a vision to reaching their goals – through the implementation of an integrated EPIC patient record.
