Starting May 1, 2021, CMS is updating its Conditions of Participation to require all hospitals (including critical access and psychiatric hospitals) to send electronic notifications to each patient’s healthcare provider at the time of service (admission, discharge, or transfer). The HIMSS Oklahoma Chapter is partnering with MyHealth Access Network, to host a educational session on the new CMS requirement and what Oklahoma’s hospitals can do to become compliant.
