Congratulations to Tonya Edvalson, the graduate student recipient of the UHIMSS 2019-2020 scholarship.

Tonya is in her final year of the Master of Healthcare Administration program at the University of Utah. She has worked at the U for 24 years and at Intermountain for 6 years.  While working for University of Utah’s Institutional Review Board she helped to develop their electronic submission system.  She also helped to develop and implement the University's research billing compliance system, uTRAC. Currently Tonya works in the University of Utah’s Center for Clinical and Translational Science as the OnCore Programs Manager where she and her team are upgrading and adopting a clinical trials management system. Tonya is an active member of the Society of Research Administrators International.

We look forward to having Tonya join the Student Liaison Committee this year.
