Vikas Ghayal Chief Strategy Officer, Artisight | Vikas Ghayal has over fifteen years of healthcare leadership experience in two of the most prestigious academic medical centers in the United States – Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH), affiliated with The Washington University School of Medicine, and The University of Chicago Medicine (UCM). At BJH, Mr. Ghayal had the opportunity to work in Perioperative Services and the Adult Emergency Department, where he led large scale change management projects.
Mr. Ghayal’s ability to work in a difficult environment and make positive changes, provided him the opportunity to expand his role and scope at The University of Chicago Medicine. During his tenure at UCM he was afforded the opportunity to lead nearly all areas in Patient Care Services, from Procedural Services, Patient Logistics & Bed Management, Emergency and Trauma Services, Respiratory and Therapy Services, and more. He led the design, construction, and activation of a new $40 million-dollar Emergency Department on the South Side of Chicago. He also was the administrative lead to develop UCM’s Adult Level 1 Trauma Center, which quickly became the busiest trauma center in the state of Illinois. Mr. Ghayal also worked on improving inpatient efficiencies and overall length of stay metrics.
Following his time at UCM, Mr. Ghayal made the jump to the healthcare AI firm, Artisight. As the Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Ghayal is responsible for providing strategic direction, managing business development, human resources, supporting deployment initiatives, and managing client success. |
